Accommodation Overview
The north and west coast is centred on Avarua, the capital, which has guesthouses, apartments and a few mid-range resorts. Staying here puts you close to the airport and the northern boat launches. The western beaches around Black Rock are quieter and good for those wanting a relaxed base, while dive packages are available through the southern resorts a short drive away. Most visitors base on the south for diving convenience but day-trip the north.
