Diving Brbinjšćica Bay (Dugi Otok)

Site Overview

Brbinjšćica Bay (Dugi Otok) is a reef dive site in Northern Dalmatia - Zadar & Kornati, Croatia, set in the clear, fish-rich waters of the Adriatic Sea. Brbinjšćica Bay is a sheltered inlet on Dugi Otok with shallow reefs ideal for training and night dives. Pipefish, seahorses and other macro life inhabit the seagrass and rubble. The calm water makes it perfect for courses and relaxed fun dives. Visibility is good for a bay, and the site is convenient close to Brbinj. It is a gentle counterpoint to the deep walls and wrecks of the island. It is a favourite for night dives and underwater photography. Conditions are typical of the Croatian coast: visibility generally runs from 12 to 30 metres, the current is low and the water temperature ranges between 14 and 25 degrees Celsius depending on season and depth. The marine life is classic Adriatic, centred on broad-nosed pipefish, long-snouted seahorse, common octopus, with the full community described below for those planning a dive.
