Site Overview

Dugi Otok Wall is a wall dive site in Northern Dalmatia - Zadar & Kornati, Croatia, set in the clear, fish-rich waters of the Adriatic Sea. The Dugi Otok wall is a long vertical drop-off dressed in sea fans and gorgonians. Pelagic fish such as amberjack cruise the blue, and the reef fish are abundant. Moderate current and the depth make it a dive for confident Advanced divers. Visibility is regularly excellent, showing the wall in full relief. The remote island setting keeps it pristine and uncrowded. It is a natural complement to the Michelangelo wreck for a Dugi Otok day. Conditions are typical of the Croatian coast: visibility generally runs from 20 to 40 metres, the current is moderate and the water temperature ranges between 14 and 25 degrees Celsius depending on season and depth. The marine life is classic Adriatic, centred on red gorgonian, greater amberjack, european barracuda, with the full community described below for those planning a dive.
