Site Overview

Kornati Wall (Opat) is a wall dive site in Northern Dalmatia - Zadar & Kornati, Croatia, set in the clear, fish-rich waters of the Adriatic Sea. The Kornati Wall at Opat is a sheer cliff in the Kornati National Park plunging into very deep, very clear blue water. Gorgonians dress the wall and barracuda and amberjack patrol the blue on the right day. The dramatic vertical topography is among the most spectacular in Croatia. A national-park permit is required, arranged through your dive centre. Visibility frequently exceeds 30 m, showing the wall in full relief. It is a flagship site of the Kornati archipelago and a must for wall divers. Conditions are typical of the Croatian coast: visibility generally runs from 20 to 40 metres, the current is moderate and the water temperature ranges between 14 and 25 degrees Celsius depending on season and depth.
