Site Overview

Zadar Wrecks - Jadran is a wreck dive site in Northern Dalmatia - Zadar & Kornati, Croatia, set in the clear, fish-rich waters of the Adriatic Sea. The Jadran is a sunken fishing boat resting at about 15-20 m off Zadar as an easy artificial reef. It is shallow enough for Open Water divers and a good first wreck. Small fish and the occasional octopus use the structure. Visibility is usually good, and the short boat ride keeps it convenient. It pairs naturally with the deeper Pagnacco and the 737 reef. It is a relaxed, accessible Zadar dive for newer divers. Conditions are typical of the Croatian coast: visibility generally runs from 12 to 30 metres, the current is low and the water temperature ranges between 14 and 25 degrees Celsius depending on season and depth. The marine life is classic Adriatic, centred on two-banded seabream, common octopus, small red scorpionfish, with the full community described below for those planning a dive.
