Site Overview

Mérouville (Lavezzi) is a reef and wall dive site in Corsica, France, reached from the base town of Bonifacio. Mérouville (Grouper-ville) is a Lavezzi reef where huge dusky groupers gather, unafraid of divers. It is a signature fish encounter of the archipelago, reached only with an authorised guide. The site reaches a maximum depth of 26 m with an average profile around 14 m and a shallow start near 6 m, which places it firmly in the intermediate category and means divers should hold at least an Open Water certification.
