Site Overview

The Kastro Reef and Blue Cave are the gentle highlights of Thasos, where a limestone wall meets a lit sea cave dressed in groupers, lobsters and anthias. Diving here is a blend of reef and light: you fin along the wall, then into the blue cave where the sun streams through and reveals the recess life. The site is shallow and sheltered enough for Open Water divers, but the magic depends on calm, sunny conditions and careful buoyancy to keep the water clear.
