Site Overview

The Pinnacles off Paros are a cluster of granite formations rising from deep water and clad in gorgonians, where the clear central Aegean fills with schooling barracuda, tuna and the occasional eagle ray. The blocks rise from around 38 m to within a few metres of the surface, making it a versatile site: confident Open Water divers enjoy the bright top, while advanced divers drop down past the gorgonian gardens for the pelagic show in the blue. The exposed position means it can have current, so it is best for confident divers, but the reward is pristine topography and superb visibility. It is a favourite of photographers and of anyone who loves a pinnacle dive with real energy, and a highlight of Paros’ surprisingly rich diving.
