Site Overview

The Wall at Kadmat Island is one of Lakshadweep's most spectacular vertical reef dives where pristine hard coral formations cascade from 5 metres to beyond 35 metres in crystal-clear Arabian Sea waters. The remote location ensures virtually untouched coral ecosystems with dense populations of staghorn, brain, and plate corals hosting abundant reef fish. Whitetip reef sharks patrol the deeper sections while eagle rays and Napoleon wrasse cruise along the wall face. Dogtooth tuna appear in the blue water during current-driven dives adding pelagic excitement to the wall exploration. The minimal diver traffic at Kadmat means marine life remains unhabituated and encounters feel genuinely wild throughout every dive on this outer reef wall. The wall face features an extraordinary diversity of coral species including massive plate corals, delicate sea fans, and dense soft coral gardens that create a living tapestry stretching from the shallows into the deep blue abyss. The remote location ensures coral health that surpasses virtually every other Indian diving destination with live coral coverage exceeding ninety percent on the wall face.
