Site Overview

Menjangan Island Pos 2 is a stunning extension of the island's famous coral wall system, offering a slightly different underwater landscape characterized by dramatic overhangs, small cave systems, and an even higher density of marine life than its neighboring site. Located within the West Bali National Park, the wall at Pos 2 drops from approximately 5 meters to over 30 meters, its face adorned with massive gorgonian fans, barrel sponges, and soft corals that thrive in the crystal-clear waters of the Bali Sea. The site is particularly famous for its small cave systems and overhangs, which harbor sleeping turtles, lobsters, and moray eels in abundance. Hawksbill turtles are virtually guaranteed sightings, often seen gliding along the wall or resting on the ledges above the caves. The visibility at Pos 2 is consistently exceptional, frequently exceeding 40 meters, which allows divers to fully appreciate the dramatic scale of the vertical reef and the dense marine life that inhabits it. Schools of batfish, fusiliers, and anthias create a colorful canopy above the wall, while whitetip reef sharks patrol the deeper sections. The gentle drift along the wall face makes this an accessible and enjoyable dive for divers of all experience levels.
