Site Overview

Akko Wall is one of the most distinctive dive sites along the Israeli Mediterranean coast offering dramatic drop-offs along the massive Old City ramparts where centuries of stone fortifications merge with the Mediterranean Sea creating habitat for large groupers and moray eels. The ancient walls of Akko, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, extend below the waterline providing a unique diving experience where maritime history and marine ecology combine. Dusky groupers shelter in the ancient masonry crevices while moray eels patrol the deeper wall sections hunting among the fallen stones and accumulated archaeological debris.
