Site Overview

INS Satil Wreck is one of the most distinctive dive sites along the Israeli Mediterranean coast offering an intact Sa'ar 3-class missile boat scuttled in 1994 as an artificial reef with its superstructure fully preserved at twenty-four metres depth providing exceptional wreck penetration opportunities for certified divers. The Satil is the sister ship to the famous Sufa wreck in Haifa offering a comparable diving experience with giant groupers and barracuda patrolling the exterior while glassfish and shrimp colonise the interior compartments. The site attracts divers seeking an authentic Mediterranean diving experience with healthy marine ecosystems and clear water conditions throughout the main diving season from May through October. Water temperatures range from comfortable 18 degrees in spring to warm 28 degrees in late summer with visibility regularly exceeding fifteen metres on calm days.
