Site Overview

The Naval Academy Wreck is one of the most distinctive dive sites along the Israeli Mediterranean coast offering a scuttled Israeli Navy patrol boat resting at twelve metres depth that has transformed into a thriving artificial reef colonised by lionfish and schooling damselfish. The intact vessel provides excellent habitat structure attracting diverse marine communities while remaining accessible to Open Water certified divers at a comfortable depth. The wreck exterior is encrusted with colourful invertebrates and sponges while the interior compartments shelter glassfish, shrimp, and juvenile fish seeking protection from predators.
