Site Overview

Rosh HaNikra Marine Reserve is one of the most distinctive dive sites along the Israeli Mediterranean coast offering dramatic chalk cliff sea caves and tunnel swim-throughs carved over millennia by Mediterranean wave action into the soft white limestone. The marine reserve status protects healthy populations of schooling jacks and barracuda that patrol the vertical walls in impressive numbers while moray eels and octopus shelter in the numerous cave systems.
