Secca della Colombara

Site Overview

The Secca della Colombara is the jewel of the Ustica Marine Reserve, a spectacular pinnacle rising from depth into exceptionally clear Sicilian water. Huge gorgonians, swirling barracuda, amberjack, groupers and the occasional eagle ray make it one of the richest dives in the Mediterranean. The moderate current often brings the pelagics in, rewarding divers who plan around slack water. It is a bucket-list site and a favourite for photographers, combining dramatic scenery with staggering biodiversity.
