Site Overview

The Secca di San Silverio is the signature seamount of Ponza, a volcanic pinnacle rising from depth into clear Tyrrhenian water. It is one of the most exhilarating dives in Lazio, where swirling schools of barracuda, amberjack and the occasional tuna sweep past, while groupers and red gorgonians cling to the rock. The strong current brings the pelagics in, rewarding confident divers who plan around slack water and manage their gas. It is a true blue-water spectacle in the heart of the Pontine Islands.
