Amami Oshima Coral Wall - Japan Diving

Site Overview

Amami Oshima Coral Wall is a dramatic drop-off dive off the northern coast of Amami Oshima featuring a near-vertical coral-encrusted wall descending from five to thirty metres in the warm Kuroshio-influenced waters. The wall face is covered with massive gorgonian fans soft corals and barrel sponges that thrive in the nutrient-rich current flowing along the vertical surface creating a colourful tapestry of marine life.
