Aquarium Reef - Jordan Diving

Site Overview

Aquarium Reef is a shallow patch reef heavily used for training dives and night diving that earns its name from the extraordinarily dense anthias populations that create living orange curtains above the coral formations. The site extends from three to twelve metres depth in calm protected waters making it one of the most accessible and beginner friendly locations in the Aqaba Marine Park area. The dense fish populations create an aquarium like visual experience with thousands of anthias damselfish and butterflyfish swarming above the coral bommies in the shallow sunlit waters.
