    Site Overview

Golden Bay is a shallow, calm sandy bay on Malta’s west coast, ideal for training, refresher dives and night diving. Stingrays glide over the sand, flatfish and cuttlefish hide among the patches, and octopus roam the rocks at the edges. Its gentle setting and easy access make it one of the most beginner-friendly sites on the less-developed west. The site rewards careful planning, good buoyancy and a respect for Malta’s marine-protection rules, and remains a favourite among Mediterranean divers. Dive Briefing

"Enter from the beach and descend along the sloping sandy bottom, controlling buoyancy to avoid stirring sand. Look for stingrays and flatfish, then ascend with a safety stop. A night dive with a torch reveals more life. Follow your guide closely, monitor your thermal comfort and complete a safety stop before exiting at the designated point.
