"Enter the water from the wooden deck platform and descend into the crystal-clear turquoise water where you will immediately appreciate the extraordinary visibility extending throughout the entire cavern chamber. Swim through the main open area where sunlight streams through the ceiling opening creating stunning light patterns on the limestone walls and illuminating the freshwater turtles that frequent this section. Navigate toward the cavern passages where stalactites hang from the ceiling in dramatic formations, some reaching several meters in length and creating natural columns when they meet stalagmites rising from the sandy floor. The passages offer multiple routes through decorated chambers where torch light reveals intricate flowstone, soda straw, and curtain formations in extraordinary detail. Freshwater turtles can often be observed gliding through the passages and resting on ledges near the ceiling where air pockets accumulate. The return route brings you back through the main chamber where you can observe the formations from different angles and enjoy the beautiful blue-green light filtering through the water from above.
