Site Overview

The Cíes Islands are the crown of the Atlantic Islands reserve off Galicia, and the Peito de Cíes wall is a spectacular granite face clad in kelp and sea fans. Huge spider crabs, lobsters, octopus and nudibranchs thrive in clear, cool water, and the protected status keeps the reef pristine. Intermediate divers follow the wall at 10-30 m, while the permit system limits numbers for an uncrowded experience. Peito de Cíes is a highlight of temperate Spanish diving.
