Site Overview

El Bajón del Río is a pinnacle off Corralejo on Fuerteventura, rising from depth to around 14 m and swept by current that draws amberjack, tuna and barracuda. Advanced divers drift along the summit, watching the blue for passing pelagics and the cracks for groupers and morays in clear Atlantic water. The strong current and depth make it an exciting, serious dive, and the fish action is among the best on the north Fuerteventura coast. El Bajón del Río is a favourite for confident blue-water divers.
