Site Overview

The Isla de la Deva is a small reserve off Luanco whose steep, kelp-clad walls are thick with spider crabs, lobsters, octopus and nudibranchs in clear, cool Cantabrian water. Limited access keeps the site pristine and uncrowded, and the dramatic granite scenery makes it a favourite for macro and wide-angle alike. Intermediate divers follow the walls at 8-26 m, while the surrounding bay offers easy boat access. La Deva is a hidden gem of Green Spain.
