Site Overview

The La Restinga Marine Reserve surrounds El Hierro’s dive village with pristine volcanic walls, caves such as the Cueva del Diablo and a rich array of groupers, lobsters and macro life. Excellent visibility and full protection have made it one of the healthiest reefs in the Canaries, with huge groupers approaching divers and abundant invertebrate life. Sites suit a range of levels, from sheltered bays to current-swept walls, all reached by short boat trips. La Restinga is a calm, world-class base for Atlantic diving.
