Site Overview

The Medes Islands reserve off L’Estartit is Spain’s most iconic marine park, and El Dofí is a signature site with a spectacular tunnel swim-through and enormous, tame groupers. Decades of full protection have produced fish life found almost nowhere else in the Mediterranean, with barracuda, morays and gorgonians on every dive. The tunnel adds an overhead thrill best suited to confident divers, while the surrounding reef teems with life in clear water. El Dofí is the heart of the Medes experience.
