    Site Overview

The Boreas is a 45 m former buoy-tender scuttled off Lloret de Mar in 2005, now resting at 18-30 m with open holds that are easy and safe to explore. Barracuda, morays and nudibranchs colonise the structure, and the wreck is a superb night dive as the lights bring out the life. Its reasonable depth suits Advanced divers, and the easy boat access from the busy Costa Brava resort makes it popular. The Boreas is a highlight wreck of the Catalan coast. The site rewards careful planning, good buoyancy and respect for Spain’s marine-protection rules, and remains a favourite among divers who value dramatic volcanic or Mediterranean scenery, historic wrecks and rich marine life across a long, varied season.
