Ailinglaplap's food is traditional and lagoon-based, built on fresh tuna, reef fish and shellfish cooked with coconut, taro and breadfruit from the island gardens. The occasional coconut crab or lobster is a treat, and tropical fruit grows in the villages. Stays are in small guesthouses or on an expedition vessel, with meals shared family-style; safe drinking water should be carried, as there is no tourist infrastructure on the atoll.
