Accommodation Overview
There is essentially no tourist accommodation in the Niuas; the region is explored only by liveaboard or private yacht, which serve as transport and dive base, or by very basic village stays arranged in advance. These vessels stage from Vavaʻu or Tongatapu and carry the safety systems needed for remote passages. A night in Neiafu or Nukuʻalofa before and after the trip is the only land-based component of the journey.
