The nudibranch diversity is exceptional, with numerous chromodoris and aeolid species adding colour to the rubble habitat. Octopus hunt actively across the substrate, displaying their remarkable intelligence and colour-changing abilities. "Descend to the rocky slope at approximately 10 metres and begin a slow, systematic search pattern along the habitat transitions between rock, rubble, and sand. Ghost pipefish are typically found near sea fans, wire coral, and rubble structures at depths of 8 to 14 metres, often matching their surroundings perfectly. Frogfish require patient scanning of rocky surfaces and coral rubble, with different colour morphs blending into various backgrounds. Examine individual rock formations and gorgonian branches for harlequin shrimp, typically found in pairs near their starfish prey. Nudibranchs are abundant on the rubble surface and sponge growth, with diversity highest between 10 and 15 metres. Octopus hunt across the open substrate and shelter in rubble crevices. Maintain excellent buoyancy to avoid disturbing sediment, which reduces visibility and displaces the small creatures. Conclude with a shallow exploration at 5 to 8 metres for additional macro subjects before your safety stop. Throughout the dive, maintain awareness of your depth and bottom time while enjoying the diverse marine life that inhabits this reef system. The topography provides excellent opportunities for both wide-angle and macro photography, with larger species visible in the blue water off the reef edge and smaller critters hidden among the coral formations and rocky crevices.
