"Descend to the main reef area at approximately 10 metres and orient along the reef slope. Explore the coral bommies and sandy channels that characterise the site, swimming along the reef edge where fish diversity is highest. Butterflyfish patrol the coral formations while parrotfish graze on algae. Moray eels shelter in the coral bommies and rocky crevices throughout the site. The shallow sections at 5 to 8 metres feature the brightest coral growth ideal for the safety stop and snorkelling. Navigate along the main reef line following the island contour. Check isolated coral heads for juvenile fish, nudibranchs, and cryptic invertebrates. Conclude with a gradual ascent to the shallow reef for a safety stop at 5 metres before deploying your DSMB. Throughout the dive, maintain awareness of your depth and bottom time while enjoying the diverse marine life that inhabits this reef system. The topography provides excellent opportunities for both wide-angle and macro photography, with larger species visible in the blue water off the reef edge and smaller critters hidden among the coral formations and rocky crevices. Remember to complete your safety stop at five metres in the shallow reef zone where colourful anthias and butterflyfish provide excellent visual interest during the mandatory three-minute pause. Current conditions are typically manageable with proper planning, and the site rewards patient divers who take time to explore the various microhabitats scattered across the reef structure."
