Diving Punta Glavina (Krk)

Site Overview

Punta Glavina (Krk) is a wall dive site in Kvarner Gulf, Croatia, set in the clear, fish-rich waters of the Adriatic Sea. Punta Glavina is a steep wall on Krk dressed in gorgonians and sea fans that fall away into deep blue water. Lobsters hide in the cracks and amberjacks and dentex cruise the blue on the right day. Moderate current and surge mean it suits confident Advanced divers comfortable on a wall. Visibility is regularly excellent, showing the vertical relief and the fish clearly. The site is a strong natural dive that balances the Kvarner’s wrecks. It is a favourite for wide-angle photographers working the gorgonian forests. Conditions are typical of the Croatian coast: visibility generally runs from 15 to 35 metres, the current is moderate and the water temperature ranges between 14 and 25 degrees Celsius depending on season and depth.
