Site Overview

Rab Island - Kampor Wall is a wall dive site in Kvarner Gulf, Croatia, set in the clear, fish-rich waters of the Adriatic Sea. The Kampor Wall on Rab is a vertical drop-off dressed in sea fans and gorgonians. Scorpionfish and macro life fill the cracks, while the blue holds the occasional pelagic. Moderate current and the vertical relief make it a dive for confident Advanced divers. Visibility is regularly excellent, showing the wall and its life clearly. The site is a strong natural dive away from the busiest Istrian wreck crowds. It is a favourite for wide-angle and macro photographers alike. Conditions are typical of the Croatian coast: visibility generally runs from 15 to 35 metres, the current is moderate and the water temperature ranges between 14 and 25 degrees Celsius depending on season and depth. The marine life is classic Adriatic, centred on red gorgonian, small red scorpionfish, greater amberjack, with the full community described below for those planning a dive.
