Scuba Diving Regions in Cuba

From world-class walls to muck diving havens, discover the unique character of each regional cluster.

    Regional Diversity

Diving in Cuba is a year-round possibility, but the peak season is generally considered to be from December to April during the dry season. During these months, the weather is sunny and stable, with air temperatures ranging from 22°C to 27°C and the best underwater visibility. The summer months (May to October) are warmer and more humid, with water temperatures reaching a balmy 30°C. While this period can bring more tropical rainfall and is the Atlantic hurricane season, it also offers calmest seas in the Jardines de la Reina. Whale sharks are most frequently sighted off the northern coast between July and November. For many, the shoulder months of November and May offer the perfect balance of great conditions and more manageable logistics.

    Planning Tips

Many regions are seasonally dependent. For Cuba, the best diving conditions are usually spread across different months depending on the archipelago or coast.
