About Ayia Napa & Protaras (South-East)

Ayia Napa and Protaras occupy the sun-soaked southeast corner of Cyprus, a stretch of white sand, turquoise bays and some of the most photogenic underwater scenery on the island. The headline sites cluster around Cape Greco, where erosion has sculpted the Ayia Napa Sea Caves, the Blue Hole and the vast Cyclops Cave into a playground of arches, swim-throughs and light beams. The region also delivers the Nemesis III wreck, a French-built trawler scuttled in recreational depths, and a string of easy, turtle-friendly bays — Green Bay, Konnos Bay and Pernera Bay — that are perfect for beginners and macro photographers. Water clarity here is exceptional, often 30 m plus, and the sheltered coves keep conditions gentle through the long season. Beyond the diving, Ayia Napa is famous for its nightlife while Protaras offers a calmer, family-friendly shoreline, giving the region a rare mix of party energy and relaxed reef diving.

    Highlights
