Kadavu Island and the Great Astrolabe Reef offer some of the most pristine and diverse diving in all of Fiji. The Great Astrolabe Reef is one of the worlds largest barrier reef systems, creating a massive underwater landscape of pinnacles, walls, passages, and coral gardens that support extraordinary biodiversity. Eagle Rock draws eagle rays, sharks, and tuna to its summit, while Broken Stone provides coral-encrusted swim-throughs teeming with gorgonians and reef fish. The Manta Point cleaning station on the Astrolabe Reef hosts resident manta rays year-round, with the best encounters from May to October. Naigoro Passage delivers thrilling drift dives past grey reef sharks, whitetip sharks, and barracuda amid massive gorgonian forests. Alacrity Rocks provides outstanding macro diving with nudibranchs, seahorses, and leaf scorpionfish among large boulder formations. The Ono Island coral gardens showcase pristine hard coral tables frequented by turtles and parrotfish, while the Yaukuve Levu Passage serves as a pelagic highway where dogtooth tuna, sailfish, and seasonal whale sharks pass through. The wreck of the Pacific Voyager, a 50-metre inter-island freighter scuttled at 18 to 30 metres, adds wreck diving to the diverse menu. Kadavu is reached by a short flight or ferry from Suva, and several dedicated dive resorts provide comfortable accommodation with direct reef access.

International flights arrive at Nadi International Airport (NAN) on Viti Levu, with connections from Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and across the Pacific. Fiji Airways is the national carrier. Domestic flights with Fiji Link connect to Taveuni, Kadavu, Vanua Levu, and the outer islands. Seaplane services reach remote resorts and the Lau Group.
