Site Overview

Wulfener Berg is a reef and wall dive site in Baltic Sea – Schleswig-Holstein (Ostsee), Germany, reached from the base town of Fehmarn. Wulfener Berg is a gently sloping reef off Fehmarn with boulders, scattered wreck debris and a healthy covering of soft corals and nudibranchs. It is a reliable, colourful training and photography site that still holds the occasional conger and schools of pollack. The site reaches a maximum depth of 22 m with an average profile around 14 m and a shallow start near 5 m, which places it firmly in the intermediate category and means divers should hold at least an Open Water certification. Conditions are typical of the Baltic Sea environment: visibility generally runs from 4 to 15 metres, the current is moderate, and the water temperature ranges between 6 and 19 degrees Celsius with low surge exposure.
