Facpi Point and the southern bays of Guam offer some of the most exposed and pristine diving on the island, with dramatic outer-reef walls, massive schools of pelagic fish, and the beautiful Cocos Island barrier reef. Facpi Point is an exposed outer-reef wall where strong currents bring nutrients that support enormous schools of fusiliers, jacks, barracuda, and grey reef sharks. This is advanced diving at its most exciting, with big-animal encounters and dramatic seascapes in crystal-clear water. Cocos Island, located off the southern tip of Guam, forms a barrier reef system with fringing coral gardens, warm clear water, turtles, reef sharks, and rays, typically accessed by boat from the mainland. Talofofo Bay on the east coast provides a contrasting calm shallow environment, primarily used for training when conditions allow. The southern coastline of Guam is less developed and more rugged than the north, with dramatic cliffs, waterfalls, and traditional Chamorro villages adding topside appeal. Getting There

Facpi Point and the southern bays are located on the southwestern coast of Guam. Facpi Point is accessed exclusively by boat from operators based in Apra Harbor or Umatac, with a 20 to 30 minute boat ride. Cocos Island is reached by boat from the mainland, typically departing from Merizo pier, with a 15 to 20 minute crossing. The southern coastline is accessible by rental car via Route 2 and Route 4, passing through scenic villages including Umatac and Merizo. The drive from Tumon Bay to the southern boat departure points takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes.
