Chamorro barbecue is the signature style, featuring marinated meats grilled over open flames and served with red rice made with achote seeds. Gun Beach and Tumon Bay represent the most accessible and convenient dive area on Guam, offering world-class wall diving just metres from the resort-lined shore. The famous Gun Beach Wall drops dramatically from shallow water to depths beyond recreational limits, covered in soft corals, gorgonians, sea fans, and black coral. Grey reef sharks, eagle rays, sea turtles, and large schools of barracuda patrol the wall regularly. The isolated Gun Beach Pinnacle rises from 30 metres to near the surface, attracting swirling jacks and occasional manta ray visits. Tumon Bay Marine Preserve provides calm, shallow coral gardens ideal for beginners, training dives, and snorkelling. The area benefits from the highest concentration of dive operators on the island, with multiple shops offering shore dive access and short boat trips. The proximity to Tumon Bay's resort infrastructure means divers can enjoy premium accommodation, dining, and shopping alongside excellent diving without any significant travel time.

Gun Beach & Tumon Bay

Gun Beach and Tumon Bay are located on the north-central coast of Guam, directly adjacent to the main resort strip. The area is easily accessible by foot from most Tumon hotels, by rental car via Marine Corps Drive, or by dive operator shuttle. Antonio B. Won Pat International Airport is approximately 10 minutes drive away. Several dive shops are located directly on or near the beach with equipment rental and guided dive services available daily.
