The Marche region offers calm, accessible Adriatic diving centred on the Conero Riviera and the central coast. The La Secca del Trave reef near Ancona is a lobster-rich rock beloved for night dives, while Il Passetto walls hold nudibranchs and octopus. San Benedetto and Numana add the Mezzavalle sloping reef with large sponges and the Egeo wreck, and Ascoli’s offshore Penelope is a small freighter for macro. Pesaro and Fano close the region with shallow training reefs and seahorses. Gentle, warm and family-friendly, the Marche is a relaxed place to build Mediterranean skills. Getting There

Fly into Ancona (AOI) or Bologna (BLQ), then drive the coast. Dive bases sit in Ancona, Numana, San Benedetto, Ascoli and Pesaro.
