Secchi della Meloria

Site Overview

The Secchi della Meloria are shallow reefs off Livorno, a gentle and colourful introduction to Tuscan diving. Octopus, cuttlefish, flatfish and bream forage over the sandy and rocky bottom, making it a favourite for training, night dives and macro photography. The sheltered position and easy access from Livorno keep conditions manageable, and the site is a practical place to build skills before moving to the deeper island walls. It is relaxed, productive and ideal for new and developing divers.
