Kubbar Island is uninhabited with no food or drink facilities so all meals must be provided by the dive operator as part of the day trip package. Most operators provide packed lunches fresh fruit beverages and snacks for the boat journey and surface intervals. Traditional Kuwaiti cuisine is available in Kuwait City before departure and upon return with restaurants serving fresh seafood machboos and various mezze dishes. Divers should bring adequate water supplies for the day as dehydration is a significant risk in the Gulf climate even during the cooler diving months.

Kubbar Island is accessed exclusively by boat from Kuwait City or the southern coast with the crossing taking approximately one to two hours depending on vessel type and departure point. Dive operators in Kuwait City and Salmiya organise regular day trips to the island during the diving season from October through May. The island is uninhabited with no facilities so all diving logistics must be self contained on the dive boat. International visitors fly into Kuwait International Airport and connect through city based dive operators who handle all island trip arrangements including boat transport equipment and guiding.
