Getting There

Umm Al Maradim Island is accessed by boat from Kuwait City or the southern coast with a crossing time of approximately two to three hours depending on departure point and vessel type. The island's position near the Saudi border makes it one of the more remote diving destinations in Kuwait. Dive operators organise day trips during the prime season from October through May with full equipment and logistics support. International visitors connect through Kuwait International Airport and city based dive operators. The longer transit time means trips depart early and return in the late afternoon with typically two to three dives conducted during the excursion.
