Comino is the tiny, car-free island between Malta and Gozo, famous for the turquoise Blue Lagoon and superb wall diving. The lagoon is a snorkelling and beginner paradise, while Lantern Point offers one of Malta’s top wall dives with gorgonians, barracuda and strong channel currents. Santa Marija Caves, the Alexandra wreck and Cominotto Reef add variety, making Comino a compact but spectacular day-trip or short-stay destination. Getting There

Reach Comino by ferry from Ċirkewwa (north Malta, about 20 minutes) or Mgarr (Gozo, about 25 minutes). Most dives are boat-based from the lagoon; the island is car-free so gear is carried to the shore or onto dive boats.
