Dwejra on Gozo’s west coast is one of the Mediterranean’s most iconic dive areas, home to the Blue Hole, the Inland Sea tunnel and the dramatic remains of the collapsed Azure Window. The chimney sinkhole leads through a massive arch into the open sea, with sponges, gorgonians and huge groupers. The Inland Sea offers a unique tunnel dive, while Coral Cave and Fungus Rock add depth and drama for advanced divers. The area rewards careful planning and respects Maltese marine-protection rules, offering rewarding diving for a range of Mediterranean experience levels. Getting There

Drive from the Gozo ferry to Dwejra (about 20 minutes) via Victoria and San Lawrenz. The Blue Hole and Inland Sea are shore entries; Fungus Rock and Crooked Island are short boat trips run by Dwejra dive centres.
