Lantern Point
Site Overview
Lantern Point is a spectacular wall dive on Comino’s south-west tip, one of Malta’s top wall dives, with large gorgonians, sea fans, barracuda and tuna in the channel current. The depth and strong current make it an advanced drift dive best done with a guide on a favourable slack window. Its pelagic-rich, pristine water is a bucket-list site for experienced Mediterranean divers. The site rewards careful planning, good buoyancy and a respect for Malta’s marine-protection rules, and remains a favourite among Mediterranean divers. Drift past the gorgonians watching for amberjack and tuna, then ascend with a safety stop using a DSMB.
