Qala Point
Site Overview
Qala Point is a steep wall on Gozo’s east coast dropping into the Comino channel, covered in gorgonians and sea fans and patrolled by barracuda, amberjack and the occasional eagle ray. The depth and potential current make it an advanced drift dive best done with a guide on a favourable slack window. Its pelagic-rich water is a highlight for experienced divers. The site rewards careful planning, good buoyancy and a respect for Malta’s marine-protection rules, and remains a favourite among Mediterranean divers.
