The peak diving season in Myanmar runs from November to May, coinciding with the dry season. During these months, the seas are generally calm and the visibility is at its best, often exceeding 30 meters at the offshore sites. From June to October, the southwest monsoon brings higher rainfall and rougher sea conditions, making most of the archipelago inaccessible to dive vessels. The best time for whale shark and manta ray sightings is typically between February and May, when plankton-rich currents attract these majestic giants to the outer reefs.
