About Cape Town – Atlantic Seaboard & Peninsula

Cape Town's Atlantic Seaboard and Peninsula is the heartland of South African diving, offering world-class kelp forest diving, iconic seal encounters, and the legendary Smitswinkel Bay wrecks. From the cathedral-like boulder mazes of Oudekraal to the playful Cape fur seals at Partridge Point and Castle Rocks, the region delivers extraordinary biodiversity within easy reach of one of the world's most beautiful cities. The site features over nine distinct dive areas ranging from beginner-friendly shore dives to advanced deep wreck penetration at 40 metres. Broadnose sevengill sharks, pyjama catsharks, colourful nudibranchs, and endemic red roman are encountered on virtually every dive. The combination of outstanding infrastructure, multiple world-class dive operators, and proximity to Table Mountain and the Cape Winelands makes Cape Town an unparalleled dive holiday destination.
