    Site Overview

Punta de la Media Naranja is a wall dive in the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park, its volcanic rock dropping into clear water rich with groupers, barracuda, morays and sea fans. The protected park keeps the reef healthy and the Posidonia meadows intact, making it one of Andalusia’s best Mediterranean sites. Intermediate divers follow the wall at 8-30 m, while the surrounding park offers several sites for all levels. Media Naranja is a highlight of the Almería coast. The site rewards careful planning, good buoyancy and respect for Spain’s marine-protection rules, and remains a favourite among divers who value dramatic volcanic or Mediterranean scenery, historic wrecks and rich marine life across a long, varied season.
