Site Overview

Cerro Gordo at La Herradura is a steep wall on the Costa Tropical, its drop-offs clad in gorgonians and home to groupers, moray eels and seahorses in the deeper sections. The clear, sheltered water makes it a favourite for both wide-angle and macro, and the surrounding bays offer easy boat access. Intermediate divers follow the wall at 10-32 m, while the nearby wrecks add variety. Cerro Gordo is a highlight of the Granada coast.
